Illusion Neon
Life is an illusion. The future, the past, our life story. Everything we experience, a construct of the mind, a truth that does not exist outside the present moment. Any idea constructed by the ego, by the mind trying to grasp at ‘facts’ thus to make sense of this experience of being a human being is all ultimately an illusion. When you let it all fall away, the only universal truth that remains is pure unconditional love.
In this study, the use of neon and symbolism of the white rose illuminates the dark recesses of the subject’s mind, turning private beliefs into contemporary provocation. In the end, we are all just water and star dust. Enjoy the illusion, it is yours to create.
